While we try to teach
our children all about life,
Our children teach us
what life is all about.

Cheryl Trina Crawford
Cheryl Ashford is my
mother. She is my everything. I love this woman to death. My mother has been
there for me since I was born. My mother was a single parent, and she raised my
brother and me to be respectful children. The person I am today is because of
my mom. I can truly say she is a strong woman of God. She will go beyond
measures to make sure her children are taking care of. I could go on and on
about this lady. To sum everything up she is the best mom a child could ever
want.
Alexander Jones
When I graduated from Weir High School, I went
to East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, MS. After a year, I
transferred to Holmes Community College in Goodman, MS where I met a sweet lady
by the name of Alexander Jones. I was new at the school, and she showed me
around. She also helped me to get scholarships and a job. She is a woman that
will go out her way to make sure students were taken care of. Ms. A is the
reason why I went to Delta State to major in Child Development. She is a sweet,
caring, and outgoing person. I love her
to the moon and back.
Shirlette Moore
Danya Turner
Danya Turner was my high school basketball coach. He taught
me the game of basketball. He is a strong believer in God. Not only was he my basketball coach, he was
my preacher at my church. This man has been there for me in so many ways. I was
honored to have him as my basketball coach.

Shirlette Moore
Shirlette Moore is a very inspirational person. I met her my
first year at Delta State University. It was something about her that I could
tell she was different from most females. I continued to see her on campus, so
one day I seen her in the cafeteria, and we started talking. Since that day, we
have been friends. Shirlette has been there for me in many ways. When I couldn’t
go the extra mile, she pushed me to continue. I love that girl to pieces. I’m
glad to have her as a friend.
Ladeisha
Jobe-Baber
Ladeisha Jobe-Baber is my childhood friend. We have known
each other for 23 years. She has been there for me through thick and thin. I
can’t count on my fingers how many times she has been there for me. Not only is
she my friend, she is my cousin. She has made a great impact in my life. She
has always been my backbone. I thank God
for blessing me with a great friend, sister, and cousin.
